Hand Sanitizers - Ideal to use when clean water is not available.

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

In light of the awful floods which the Uk has seen in Hull, Sheffield and now in southern England. Hand hygiene is important when no clean water is available.

Wash your hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer before preparing formula or feeding an infant

In areas of poor sanitation, be careful to wash your hands after using the toilet and before handling or eating food. Take an alcohol-based handwash to areas where sanitation is poor.

Washing hands frequently with soap and water is effective at stopping the spread of infection, but alcohol-based hand sanitizers that do not require water may be a convenient alternative for parents who cannot get to a sink when caring for sick children.

The main point to remember, however, is that the alcohol content of the handrub must be at least 60 percent to be effective. Asseptgel is 62% alochol compared to other products on the market.

59 ml bottles, 500 ml bottles and 800 ml refil for wall mounted units are available at
